Youth invited to enter calendar art contest

JASPER — Indiana’s electric cooperatives and their statewide magazine, Indiana Connection, invite students in grades kindergarten through 12 to enter the Cooperative Calendar of Student Art Contest.

A first-place artist will be selected for each grade, and will receive $200. The artwork of each grade level winner will illustrate either the cover or one of the 12 months of the calendar. Up to nine additional artists will earn honorable mention awards and will receive $75. These works will appear in a special section of the calendar.

Artwork will be judged on artistic merit, originality, creativity and its suitability for a wall calendar. Public, private or home-schooled students are eligible.

The 2021 wall calendar will be available at the offices of participating Indiana electric cooperatives in Autumn 2020.
