To the editor:
As a handicapped, slightly disabled military veteran, I really appreciate all the help so many wonderful folks have done for me.
Here is just one example: I needed a new billfold so I went to Walmart. As I came to the checkout counter, a gentleman behind me told the clerk that he was paying for my new billfold. I asked the gentleman who he was, and all he said was, "I served in the military for 13 years."
I was in an automatic cart and did not see the gentleman's face and did not get his name.
Yes, there are many wonderful folks out there!
