Wrong-way driver accused of OWI

JASPER — Police arrested a Spencer County motorist late Sunday night and accused her of driving while impaired in Jasper.

A Jasper Police Department officer reported seeing a 2008 Pontiac G6 driving the wrong way on Mill Street from Seventh Street at 11:30 p.m. The officer stopped the car at Fifth and Mills streets and initiated field sobriety testing.

Police say the driver, Ashley D. Mosby, 22, Evanston, had a blood alcohol content that tested .08% in a certified test at the Jasper Police Station.

Authorities booked Mosby into the Dubois County Security Center at 2:10 a.m. today on a preliminary misdemeanor count of operating while intoxicated.
