MALTERSVILLE — A driver escaped injury in a single-vehicle mishap Tuesday morning east of the Maltersville area.
Beverly W. Atkins, 53, St. Anthony, was northbound on St. Anthony Road West in a 2004 Ford sedan when the 5:20 a.m. accident occurred at the County Road 250S intersection, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department.
The sheriff’s department said Atkins’ vehicle failed to make the turn at County Road 250S. The car went through the intersection, off the north side of the roadway and stopped against an earthen embankment.
Damage was estimated to have exceeded $5,000.
