Wrecker needed after Holland-area truck-vs-deer collision

HOLLAND — A wrecker was needed after a pickup truck-versus-deer collision Friday evening north of Holland.

Kyle D. Cox, 40, Holland, was northbound on State Road 161 in a 2017 Toyota Tacoma when the 7:05 p.m. accident occurred by Old Road 64, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.

A deputy said Cox’s truck sustained disabling damage to its front after colliding with a deer that came onto the highway from the east.

Damage was estimated between $2,500 and $5,000.
