JASPER — A wrecker was called to the scene of a Saturday morning SUV-versus-deer collision along a county road northeast of Jasper.
Makayla D. Matheis, 23, Jasper, was northbound on County Road 175E in a 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander when the 3:30 a.m. accident occurred north of County Road 300N , according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department.
A deputy said Matheis’ SUV sustained between $1,000 and $2,500 in damage to its front, driver’s side bumper and headlight area when it collided with a deer that came onto the roadway from the east.
