JASPER — A Spencer County woman was booked into the Dubois County Security Center this week on a warrant charging her in connection with a Walmart Supercenter theft.
Brittany A. Bartlett, 29, Grandview, is accused of taking shoes valued at $16.01 from the 4040 N. Newton St. store Sept. 21, 2018.
The Jasper Police Department investigated the theft and released Bartlett that day after notifying her of an upcoming court date.
A warrant was issued for Bartlett’s arrest Nov. 21, 2018, in Dubois Superior Court after she twice failed to appear for scheduled initial hearings.
Authorities booked Bartlett into the security center at 6 p.m. Monday on the active warrant. She appeared in court Wednesday, had her next appearance set for Nov. 21 and was released on her own recognizance.
