CELESTINE — A Celestine woman suffered injury in a rollover crash Monday afternoon just east of Celestine.
Frances M. Laduke, 75, Celestine, was eastbound on State Road 164 in a 2011 Buick Lucerne when the 3:07 p.m. accident occurred east of Celestine Road North, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy said the Laduke Buick, for an unknown reason, traveled off the roadway a half mile east of the Celestine Volunteer Fire Department, struck a previously downed tree off the highway and rolled. The car stopped on its top on the south side of the roadway.
Celestine Volunteer Fire Department first responders assisted Laduke from the vehicle.
Laduke was wearing her seat belt and air bags deployed. She suffered a cut hand and complained of chest pain, according to authorities.
The sheriff’s office said Laduke was transported by ambulance for treatment at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center. No further information on her condition was available.
The crash totaled the Buick.
Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical Services and a Bob Luegers Motors wrecker also assisted.
