Woman charged with invasion of privacy

From Local Sources

JASPER — Authorities booked a Perry County woman into the Dubois County Security Center this week on a failure-to-appear warrant in an invasion of privacy case.

A misdemeanor charge of invasion of privacy was filed against Carrie J. Chaney, 28, Tell City, in December after she allegedly violated a protective order. A warrant for her arrest was issued last month in Dubois Circuit Court after she did not appear for an initial hearing.

Authorities booked Chaney into the security center at 1:43 p.m. Wednesday on the active warrant. During a telephonic initial hearing Thursday, Chaney was released on her own recognizance on the condition she appear at all future court dates and have no contact with the victims.
