Woman charged with battery counts

JASPER — Authorities charged a woman with battery against a public safety official and disorderly conduct after a weekend incident at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center.
Kristina M. King, 34, Jasper, was in the custody of authorities Saturday at the hospital when she allegedly ignored verbal orders, became physically aggressive and began striking and kicking at a security officer until those present restrained her during a physical altercation.
King was charged this week with two Level 6 felony counts of battery against a public safety official and misdemeanor counts of battery and disorderly conduct.
