Woman arrested on attempted voluntary manslaughter

JASPER — A Jasper woman was arrested Friday and faces attempted voluntary manslaughter charges, among others.
Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center contacted the Jasper Police Department about a male victim with a laceration on his neck.
After investigation, it was determined that a domestic incident had occurred the evening of Nov. 26, and that during the altercation, 25-year-old Gina M. Kieffner, 314 W. Ninth St., Jasper, had cut the victim's neck with a knife.
Kieffner was taken into police custody and lodged in the Dubois County Security Center.
She faces charges of attempted voluntary manslaughter, a Level 2 felony; criminal recklessness; aggravated battery; domestic battery; and battery.
