Woman arrested for neglect, battery, possession

JASPER — A Jasper woman was arrested on a barrage of charges, including drug possession, battery and neglect.
Britoney M. Fight, 32, 478 Meridian Road, was charged with, neglect of a dependent, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, malicious mischief, resisting law enforcement, battery on law enforcement, possession of less than 30 grams of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia
The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office was made aware of a Facebook Live video on Sept. 12 in which Fight appeared to be intoxicated while holding a baby. In the video, she said that she was high and planning to use more narcotics, police reported.
Sheriff’s deputies and Jasper Police investigated, which led to Fight being taken to Memorial Hospital for treatment. Fight was taken into custody on Saturday, following treatment. She is now lodged at the Dubois County Security Center.
