HUNTINGBURG — A report late Friday night of a domestic battery in progress resulted in a woman’s arrest.
The Huntingburg Police Department was called to the 900 block of East Sixth Street at 11 p.m.
Police say a male victim called police. That complainant and Maria J. McKnight, 34, 910 E. Sixth St., both admitted having been drinking, police added.
After a verbal argument, police alleged, McKnight threw multiple items from inside the home, striking the male victim in the back. She then allegedly scratched him on the neck and shoulders with her fingernails.
Authorities booked McKnight into the Dubois County Security Center at 12:23 a.m. Saturday on a preliminary misdemeanor count of domestic battery.
