Woman arrested after car flip

DUBOIS — A Jasper woman was arrested Tuesday night following a single-car accident on North Hickory Grove Road.
Brandi J. Sorrells, 32, 4447 E. County Road 300 N. was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated (blood-alcohol content .15%) and operating a vehicle without ever receiving a license.
A Dubois County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to an 8:36 p.m. call that a car on North Hickory Grove Road had flipped and was stopped near a residence, police reported. The deputy arrived and found the driver, identified as Sorrells, who was not hurt, police said. Police smelled the odor of alcohol and ran the BAC test before arresting her.
Sorrells was lodged in the Dubois County Security Center.
