JASPER — Authorities booked a Birdseye woman into jail Friday on a misdemeanor theft warrant.
Charging information alleges Taylor L. O’Keefe, 25, 6 W. Second St., Birdseye, exerted unauthorized control over $235.96 worth of Walmart property on Oct. 13.
The Jasper Police Department investigated the theft at the 4040 N. Newton St. store, and on Thursday, a warrant was issued out of Dubois Superior Court.
Authorities booked O’Keefe into the Dubois County Security Center at 4:37 p.m. Friday on the active warrant. During an initial hearing Monday, the court granted O’Keefe’s request for pauper counsel and set her next court appearance for March 12.
O’Keefe posted bond Monday afternoon.
