JASPER — Charges resulted Friday night when a woman was reported beating on a car and causing a disturbance at a north-side apartment complex.
The Jasper Police Department was called to the parking lot of a 43rd Street apartment complex at 6:10 p.m. and made contact with Kristina M. Lewis, 33, 452 W. 43rd St.
Lewis, whose BAC allegedly tested .19 percent, was alleged to have left dents in the trunk lid of a car.
After being placed in custody, police alleged, Lewis slipped off handcuffs in an attempt to not be detained.
Authorities booked Lewis into the Dubois County Security Center at 7:03 p.m. on a preliminary Level 5 felony count of escape and preliminary misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct, public intoxication and criminal mischief.
