Woman accused of public intoxication

JASPER — Police took a Vanderburgh County woman to jail Tuesday night, accusing her of public intoxication.
The Jasper Police Department was dispatched at 9:56 p.m. to the report of a woman passed out near the car wash at Blimpie’s, 1921 Lube Way. Police were also told the woman, Katherine E. Ackerman, 42, Evansville, had previously been in the store asking for money.
Ackerman’s blood alcohol content allegedly tested .226% on a portable breath test prior to her being booked into the Dubois County Security Center at 12:33 a.m. today on a preliminary misdemeanor count of public intoxication.
