JASPER — The Jasper Police Department arrested a convenience store employee Wednesday after investigating an alleged internal theft.
Police were called at 9:21 a.m. to the Sunset Citgo at 1281 Third Ave. at 9:21 a.m. after it was alleged Kathy L. Kluesner, 60, 4474 E. Jasper-Dubois Road, Jasper, had taken cash and lottery tickets while working at multiple Citgo locations.
The investigation included the review of video footage, according to authorities.
Police say Kluesner denied taking money or lottery tickets when interviewed. During the investigation, Kluesner was allegedly found in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia that included smoking pipes and aluminum foil with burn marks.
Authorities booked Kluesner into the Dubois County Security Center at 5:05 p.m. on preliminary Level 6 felony counts of methamphetamine possession and theft and preliminary misdemeanor counts of marijuana possession and possession of paraphernalia. She posted bond a short time later.
