JASPER — A Wednesday afternoon report of a possibly impaired driver resulted in an arrest.
Authorities were notified at 5:14 p.m. about a suspected impaired driver that, at that time, was northbound on Main Street in Ferdinand in an SUV.
That report later resulted in the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office stopping a Ford Edge driven by Robyn D. Maddox, 47, Mitchell, at 30th and Mill streets in Jasper.
A deputy said Maddox failed field sobriety testing but refused toxicology testing at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center.
Authorities booked Maddox into the Dubois County Security Center at 9:39 p.m. on a preliminary misdemeanor count of operating while intoxicated.
