JASPER — Police answering a report that a woman had forced her way into an apartment late Saturday night placed an individual under arrest.
The Jasper Police Department was called to apartments in the 500 block of Village Court at 11:40 p.m. after a report that the woman who had forced her way into a residence had started a physical altercation with the two occupants.
In an attempt to prevent the woman, identified as Cayla B. Clayton, 23, 502 Village Court, from doing any further harm, police said, one of the occupants restrained her until officers arrived.
Police said one of the occupants sustained injuries during the incident.
Authorities said officers took Clayton into custody with the aid of a stun gun.
After Clayton was medically cleared at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center, she was booked into the Dubois County Security Center at 5:03 a.m. Sunday on a preliminary Level 6 felony count of residential entry and preliminary misdemeanor counts of battery, disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
Authorities alleged Clayton’s blood alcohol content tested .26 percent on a portable breath test.
Indiana State Police assisted.
