Woman accused of felony domestic battery

JASPER — Police placed a woman under arrest after investigating a reported domestic battery early Saturday.

Jasper Police Department officers responding to the 12:18 a.m. report made contact with a male complainant with visible injuries. Megan Forrest, 32, 930 Jackson St., Jasper, was alleged to have wielded a frying pan during the incident in which children were present.

Authorities booked Forrest into the Dubois County Security Center at 3:37 a.m. on preliminary charges of Level 5 felony domestic battery with a deadly weapon and Level 6 felony domestic battery in the presence of a child. Forrest was also found to have an active body attachment warrant involving a $3,370.12 small claims judgment.
