JASPER — Police arrested a woman Thursday after investigating a report of a residential burglary.
The Jasper Police Department received a complaint Tuesday from a homeowner in the Holy Family area stating there was an unknown female inside his residence. The homeowner said his home surveillance cameras activated and notified him there was movement in his home office area.
Officers went to the location and located a woman identified as Cassandra L. Meyer, 36, 1426 Main St., Jasper.
Police allege an investigation determined Meyer entered the home without the homeowner’s permission with the intent to steal an item or items from the home.
Authorities booked Meyer into the Dubois County Security Center at 3:52 p.m. Thursday on a preliminary Level 4 felony count of burglary. She posted a $5,000 bond later in the afternoon.
