JASPER — Police took a woman into custody after investigating the Monday night report of a domestic involving a male and a female.
The 9:55 p.m. call sent Jasper Police Department officers to the 500 block of Main Street where they heard a verbal argument and someone yelling, “Help me,” as they approached an apartment door.
Police located a male and Chelsea L. Pate, 23, 399 Baden Strasse, involved in a physical domestic altercation.
Upon investigation, police learned both people suffered injuries but Pate was determined to be the primary aggressor, authorities reported.
Authorities booked Pate into the Dubois County Security Center at 4:32 a.m. today on preliminary misdemeanor counts of domestic battery and resisting law enforcement.
The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office assisted.
