Wolfgang Franz Grubler, 71, Jasper

Wolfgang Franz Grubler, 71, of Jasper, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 22, 2020, at his residence.

He was born on September 28, 1948, in Fulda, Germany, to the late Gerhard and Mathilde (Steffens) Grubler.

Wolfgang was a music lover, history buff, and world traveler. He found beauty in the simple things and nature. He loved life, the outdoors, gardening, spending time with family and friends, camping, bike riding, roller blading and ice skating. He enjoyed long walks with his dog, Oreo (Snuffles), evenings outdoors drinking a glass of red wine and listening to the Grateful Dead, and most of all he loved doing these things with his wife, Marilyn. He shared his culture and was eager to learn others.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Marilyn Ann Grubler; children, Florian Grubler of Marburg, Germany, Fabian Grubler of Wien, Austria, and Julian (Alex) Grubler of Berlin, Germany; stepdaughter Tonya Hief of Jasper; grandchildren, Helge Grubler of Berlin, Germany, and Noah, Mariah, and Collin Hief of Jasper; sister: Elke (Walter) Bauer of Burstadt, Germany; and brother, Ekkehard Grubler of Offenbach, Germany.

Simple Cremation Evansville is entrusted with care.
