Wise up and protect your family and friends
July 20, 2020To the editor:
My wife and I cannot help noticing that since the local mayors have come out with their stronger positions on wearing masks and social distancing, that our local people appear to be ignoring that request.
We know of instances where people have vacationed, come back to town ill, but yet attended functions and later tested positive exposing many. This is selfish and stupid behavior.
Wearing a mask is not difficult — not pleasant — but not difficult. When you travel and get exposed, the mask prevents you from exposing others, It does not protect you. We were in a store today that processes food products. The employees and the facility were masked and well protected, but most customers coming in were maskless and huddling up.
Wise up folks and protect your family and friends!
