Wildcats slow down Patriot golfersAugust 13, 2016
From Herald Staff Reports
Early-season play offers the chance for experience, and the Heritage Hills girls golf team is hoarding plenty of that these days, even if Friday’s results weren’t ideal.
The Patriots fired a 223 on at Fendrich Golf Course in Evansville, where host Mater Dei delivered a winning tally of 175 for the dual match victory after Heritage Hills had claimed two straight dual match wins on Wednesday and Thursday.
Vicki Nelson again piloted the Pats, carding a 45, while Caroline Guth posted a 53, Katelynn Myers furnished a 58 and Ally Southwood rounded out Heritage Hills’ scorecard with a 67.
Mater Dei’s Hannah Julow collected medalist honors with a 40.
The Pats journey to the Gibson Southern Invitational today.
