Wildcats’ remarkable season comes to an end

The Jasper Little League 11U All-Stars wrapped up an impressive season by finishing with a 2-1 record in the Indiana State Tournament in Indianapolis.

After defeating Huntingburg 18-3 on July 8 to win the District 13 championship in Jasper, the Wildcats advanced to the State tourney in Indianapolis on July 18-21st. Jasper started this run with impressive victories as they defeated Wabash 6-2 in the opening game and topped Broad Ripple (Indianapolis) by a score of 11-9 in the second game. With the victory, they advanced to the semifinal game where they were defeated 4-3 in extra innings by Wabash.

The Wildcats were represented by Sutton Brosmer, Levi Claus, Owen Gehlhausen, Cohen Gunselman, Cole Leinenbach, Jack Levin, Aiden Persohn, Jude Peter, Caydan Ramos, Brandon Robinson, Robert Sternberg, Alec Wehr and Nate Weinzapfel. Coaches were Brady Gunselman, Aaron Levin and Luke Wehr.
