Wildcat boys, girls sweep evening at triangular meet

Local prep swimming teams were in action on Monday, and in case you missed it, here are the results.
Prep Boys Swimming

Jasper 179, Tecumseh 42, Bosse 9: The Wildcats won all 12 events on the boys swimming side Monday night in the Bosse/Tecumseh Triangular at Tecumseh High School.
They had a pair of multiple winners in Jackson Henke taking the 50 and 100 freestyle, while Noah Wagner won the 200 individual medley and 500 freestyle. Mason Thornburgh emerged victorious in the 200 freestyle, Connor Nolan won the 100 butterfly and Bennett Schmitt won diving. Evan Mehringer pulled off the win in the 100 backstroke and Abe Eckman won the 100 breakstroke. Jasper competed in three relays, and won all three of them.
Final scores from the boys swim meet at Boonville High School on Monday night: Boonville 472, Mt. Vernon 232, Tell City 176, Forest Park 129, Southridge 35.
Prep girls swimming
Jasper 173, Tecumseh 100, Bosse 33: The Jasper girls swim team had a pair of double winners, just as the boys did.
Megan Matheis won the 200 freestyle and 100 breaststroke events, while Avery Henke won the 200 individual medley and 100 butterfly. Olivia Biggs took first in diving, while Claire Witte won the 100 freestyle and Madison Matheis won the 500 freestyle.
Final scores from the girls swim meet at Boonville High School on Monday night: Mt. Vernon 365, Southridge 340, Tell City 304, Boonville 230, Forest Park 95.
