Whitney McInnis and Aaron Trafton of Ferdinand exchanged wedding vows on Oct. 3, 2020. The ceremony was held at Matilda’s Event Barn in Troy and was officiated by Greg Sicard, friend of the couple.
The bride is the daughter of Mike and Deborah McInnis of Floyd Knobs. She is a graduate of Floyd Central High School and Indiana State University. She is currently a registered nurse at Lange-Fuhs Cancer Center in Jasper.
The groom is the son of Donna Trafton of Ferdinand and the late Gary Trafton. He is a graduate of Forest Park High School and University of Southern Indiana. He is currently a graphic designer at Best Home Furnishings in Ferdinand.
The maid of honor was Erynn McInnis, sister of the bride. The matrons of honor were Shae LeDune and Maria Peluchette, both friends of the bride. The bride chose as her bridesmaids Amanda Sicard, Jill Schipp, and Steffi Schumacher, all friends of the couple; and Katilin Winger, Emily Curry, Rachel Brown, and Jenna Schaefering, all friends of the bride. The junior bridesmaid was Bailey Begle, cousin of the groom. The flower girl was Lena Schmucher, friend of the couple.
The best man was Brent Sicard. Groomsmen were Jay Burger and Nate Leuken, cousins of the groom; Ryan Becher, Brett Schipp, Dan Dilger, Ryan Mullis, Evan Shearn, Flo Schmucher, Jeff Durlauf, and Jace Hasenour, all friends of the groom. The junior groomsman was Hudson Lueken, godchild of the groom. The ring bearers were Felix Schmucher, godchild of the groom; and Sebastian Sicard, friend of the couple.
Lectors for the ceremony were Taylor Benedict, godchild of the groom; and Larry Watson, friend of the bride.
A reception was held at Matilda’s Event Barn in Troy.
