JASPER — Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center has hired Physician Assistant Ben Weyer to the staff at Heartland Cardiology.
He joins physicians Adam Dawkins, Geoffrey Day, William Lehmkuhler and Joshua Leonard, and nurse practitioners Emily Leinenbach and Natalie O’Connor.
Physician assistants are medical professionals who diagnose illness, develop and manage treatment plans, prescribe medications and often serve as a patient’s principal health care provider.
Weyer received his bachelor’s degree in human biology at Indiana University in Bloomington, and his master’s degree in physician assistant studies at Sullivan University in Louisville, Kentucky. He is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Kentucky Academy of Physician Assistants and the Indiana Academy of Physician Assistants.
