WEW welcomes Toyota president

The Dubois County women’s leadership organization, Women Empowering Women, will gather on Wednesday, June 12, at the St. Joseph Church Parish Center, 1029 Kundek St., Jasper.

Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. for networking before the meeting begins at 11:45 a.m.

This event is open to all prospective and current WEW members.

The mission of Women Empowering Women is to inspire women in business to reach their highest potential by instilling confidence, building networks, and promoting community in Dubois County.

Membership is open to any woman in business who lives or works in Dubois County.

WEW welcomes Millie Marshall, president of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana Inc., to speak about her leadership journey.

Marshall is the first female president globally for Toyota Manufacturing. She is responsible for all production and

administrative functions at the manufacturing facility. Before joining Toyota in 1991, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in organizational management from Midway College in Midway, Kentucky, and an associate degree in Applied Science from Lexington Community College.

Marshall also holds a Senior Professional Human Resources certification.

In 2014, Marshall was awarded the Women in Manufacturing Science, Technology, Engineering and Production Award by the Manufacturing Institute and was named as one of Automotive News’ 100 Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry in Detroit in 2015.  In 2018, she received the Linkage Women in Leadership Executive Impact Award.

The cost for lunch is $5 each person and is payable at the door.
