WEW meeting features Kimball CEO

The Dubois County women’s leadership organization, Women Empowering Women, will gather on Wednesday, Oct. 9, at the St. Joseph Church Parish Center, 1029 Kundek St., Jasper.

Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. for networking before the meeting begins at 11:45 a.m. This event is open to prospective and current WEW members.

The mission of Women Empowering Women is to inspire women in business to reach their highest potential by instilling confidence, building networks and promoting community in Dubois County. Membership is open to any woman in business who lives or works in Dubois County.

WEW welcomes Kristie Juster, chief executive officer for Kimball International Inc., for this October session. Juster joined the company as chief executive officer in 2018 and has been a member of the board of directors since 2016. 

Prior to Kimball International, Juster served for over 20 years as a global executive at Newell Brands. During her tenure at Newell Brands she held the role of president of the Home Décor Segment with the design driven brands, Levelor and Kirsh; the Culinary Lifestyle Segment with Calphalon, a premier brand known for design innovation; and the Global Writing Segment with a wide variety of market leading brands such as Sharpie and Expo.

Throughout her career, Juster has driven significant growth for the businesses she has led through brand innovation, distribution channel expansion including e-commerce, and a global mindset. She has a proven track record of scaling growth strategies, while preserving the core values that are critical to the long-term sustainability of a business. Juster is a graduate from Cornell University.

Advanced reservations for the luncheon are required for members and guests. Reservations should be made by calling the Jasper Chamber of Commerce at 812-482-6866 or by emailing chamber@jasperin.org by Friday, Oct. 4. The cost for lunch is $5 per person and is payable at the door.
