From Local Sources
JASPER — Wet conditions factored into a truck-versus-fence mishap Friday morning east of Jasper.
Lawana Royer, 31, Dubois, was northbound on County Road 190N in a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 series when the 7:51 a.m. accident occurred north of Jasper-Dubois Road, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy said Royer’s truck slid off the roadway in a sharp curve because of wet roadway conditions. The truck stopped after running through a fence in the 700 block of County Road 190N.
There were no injuries and no wrecker was required.
Damage was estimated between $1,000 and $2,500.
