JASPER — Kimball International Inc. has been designated with the AchieveWELL Five Star certification through the Wellness Council of Indiana. The company was officially honored this week at the 2018 Indiana Health and Wellness Summit in downtown Indianapolis.

“On behalf of the hundreds of employees who participate in our many wellness programs, along with the HR professionals and wellness ambassadors who design and administer our numerous wellness activities and programs, we are pleased to accept this honor,” said Lonnie Nicholson, chief administrative officer at Kimball International. “As stated in our company’s Guiding Principles, our people are the company and there is no better way to care for our people than to provide opportunities for healthy living,”

Companies that earn the AchieveWELL certification have established a corporate culture that encourages and supports employee health through worksite wellness programs. The Wellness Council of Indiana provides an independent assessment of wellness processes through AchieveWELL and the designation is divided into three levels: Three Star, Four Star and Five Star. The standards are progressive through the Five Star Award. Kimball International achieved the Five Star level.

The AchieveWELL assessment and evaluation is available to all organizations in Indiana. The Wellness Council of Indiana is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce.
