Weather spotter training offeredFebruary 27, 2020
The Dubois County Emergency Management Agency, in conjunction with the National Weather Service in Louisville, will host severe weather spotter training at 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 16, atClassroom Building Lecture Hall at Vincennes University Jasper, 850 College Ave.
The training is free of charge and open to anyone across the region including weather spotters, emergency responders and the general public. The topics covered will include identifying and reporting severe weather, severe weather safety, severe weather climatology, thunderstorm types and the related threats.
Joe Sullivan, warning coordinating meteorologist with the National Weather Service Office in Louisville, will be conducting the training.
Registration is not required to attend.
