Way of the Cross event planned

FERDINAND — The Way of the Cross: Major Moments in the Final Days of Jesus According to the Gospels will be held from 9:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 28, at Sisters of St. Benedict, Monastery Immaculate Conception, 802 E. 10th St. There is no cost to attend this event.

Beginning with Jesus’ final entrance into Jerusalem, participants will follow him step-by-step as he deliberately makes his way to the cross. The guide for this journey will be the stories as told by the gospel writers, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

Presenter is Father Eugene Hensell, OSB, a Benedictine monk from Saint Meinrad Archabbey. He has a master’s degree and a doctorate in Biblical languages and literature from St. Louis University. He gives biblical presentations and retreats to the laity, religious groups and clergy throughout the country.
