Water pressure glitch triggers plant alarm

From Local Sources

HUNTINGBURG — A Friday morning alarm activation sent units of the Huntingburg Volunteer Fire Department to DMI Plant. No. 12, 903 N. Chestnut St.

There was no fire associated with the 9:41 a.m. callout, according to Fire Chief Scott Patberg. Instead, he said, city hydrant flushing activity nearby is thought to have created a water pressure fluctuation that set off a sprinkler system alarm.

Three trucks and 10 firefighters were on the scene 15 minutes.
