Water overtakes 1 road, more rain coming

From Local Sources

The Dubois County Highway Department reports one low-lying road closed by high water as more rain is in the offing.

Ferdinand’s rain gauge caught .80 of an inch of precipitation in the last 24 hours and Jasper, which took a reading at midnight, had .65 of an inch.

Today began with dreary drizzle and the National Weather Service at Louisville says Wednesday will bring an 80% chance of more precipitation along with winds that could gust as high as 26 mph.

The lone road blocked by high water today was County Road 800W north of County Road 300S in the Patoka River bottoms west of Duff.
