JASPER — Police took a suspect in a Daviess County rape case into custody in Dubois County this week.
A warrant charging Jean G. Honore, 27, Washington, with Level 3 felony rape was issued Friday in Daviess County after an investigation by the Washington Police Department.
On Tuesday, according to Washington police, Indiana State Police from the Jasper post and the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office assisted in locating and arresting Honore without incident.
Authorities booked Honore into the Dubois County Security Center at 10:20 p.m. Tuesday. He was transferred Wednesday to the Daviess County Jail, where he is being held on a $100,000 bond.
In announcing Honore’s arrest, Washington police noted all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
