Warrants bring woman for court cases

JASPER — A Dubois woman appeared in court Friday after being brought to the Dubois County Security Center on warrants issued in methamphetamine and driving offense cases.
Devon N. Morton, 28, 2789 E. State Road 56, Dubois, was charged with misdemeanor driving while suspended (prior) in August 2018, and last August, she was charged with Level 4 felony dealing methamphetamine in a drug case based on an allegation dating to October 2018.
Warrants were issued in both cases and, at 5:40 p.m. Thursday, Morton was booked into the security center. During an appearance Friday in Dubois Superior Court, Morton had a bond set and she was granted pauper counsel. She was released from the jail at midday.
