HUNTINGBURG — A woman taken into custody Tuesday on a body attachment warrant learned she would face a new local charge after arriving at the Dubois County Security Center.

Dubois County Sheriff’s Office deputies took Cassandra G. Mattingly, 24, 408 N. Washington St., Huntingburg, into custody Tuesday afternoon on the writ involving an unpaid $514.44 debt.

While at the jail’s booking station, police said, authorities found Mattingly in possession of a small plastic bag with a white, crystalline substance alleged to be methamphetamine.

Authorities booked Mattingly into the facility at 3:10 p.m. on the active body attachment warrant and on a preliminary new count of Level 6 felony methamphetamine possession.
