JASPER — A warrant issued in connection with an impaired driving case has brought a Knox County man to the Dubois County Security Center.
John C. Hoover, 48, Terre Haute, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor operating while intoxicated in Dubois Superior Court at the end of 2018 but never made contact with the court’s probation department, which was a prerequisite before his sentencing, according to court records.
The unresolved issue ultimately resulted in the issuance of a warrant in June 2019.
Authorities booked Hoover into the security center Friday, and on Tuesday, the court ordered he be held until a June 15 sentencing.
