JASPER — A Jasper man was brought to jail Thursday on an active warrant in an impaired driving case.

David M. Schaad, 50, 1614 Newton St., Jasper, pleaded guilty to Level 6 felony impaired driving Nov. 30, 2018. When Schaad failed to appear at a July 22 hearing on a petition to revoke his home-detention status, a warrant for his arrest was issued out of Dubois Superior Court.

Authorities booked Schaad into the Dubois County Security Center at 7:01 a.m. Thursday on the active warrant. During a court appearance that same day, a dispositional hearing on the petition to revoke was set for Aug. 21 and Schaad was ordered held in the security center pending that hearing.
