JASPER — A Jasper man turned himself in Wednesday on a Dubois Circuit Court warrant for Level 6 felony attempted residential entry and misdemeanor criminal mischief.

Court documents indicate the Jasper Police Department investigated May 11 when it was reported that Zachery R. Uppencamp, 22, 1441 Jackson St., Jasper, repeatedly kicked and damaged a door at a Jasper residence.

A warrant was issued Tuesday and Uppencamp was booked into the Dubois County Security Center at 7:54 a.m. Wednesday. In a court appearance that day, Uppencamp’s request for pauper counsel was approved and a preliminary plea of not guilty was entered on his behalf by the court.

Uppencamp’s bond was set at $1,000 and his next court appearance was scheduled for June 10. He remains lodged at the security center.
