Warrant charges man with molesting, battery, solicitation

JASPER — A Jasper man turned himself in Friday at the Dubois County Security Center to answer to a warrant charging him with felony child molesting, battery and child solicitation.


Indiana State Police investigated the case against Clayton T. Nordhoff,  23, of 4441 Downey St., Jasper, according to court documents.

The alleged crimes involving a victim under the age of 14 reportedly occurred in June, with authorities being made aware of a possible child molestation June 27.

A warrant charging Nordhoff with Level 1 and Level 4 felony child molesting, Level 5 felony battery resulting in bodily injury to a person less than 14 years of age and Level 5 felony child solicitation was issued Thursday in Dubois Circuit Court.

Nordhoff turned himself in Friday morning and made an initial court appearance, during which the court entered a preliminary plea of not guilty on his behalf. Nordhoff then posted a $20,000 bond.
