Warrant charges man with invasion of privacy

From Local Sources

JASPER — A Jasper man appeared Tuesday in Dubois Circuit Court to answer to a warrant charging him with invasion of privacy.

Daniel J. Drew, 50, 1307 N. Main St., Jasper, is accused of sending text messages to the protected person in an active no contact order issued as a condition of a pretrial release. The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office investigated a complaint about the alleged violation May 25 and, after failing to locate Drew, applied for an arrest warrant.

Drew was booked into the Dubois County Security Center at 9:46 a.m. Tuesday on the active misdemeanor invasion of privacy warrant and then appeared in court that same day. A preliminary plea of not guilty was entered on his behalf and his next court appearance was set for July 1.
