Warrant charges man with intimidation, harassment

From Local Sources

HUNTINGBURG — Authorities booked a man into the Dubois County Security Center on Tuesday on a warrant charging him with intimidation and harassment.

Charging information alleges that Gregory S. Lichlyter, 57, 111 S. Chestnut St., Huntingburg, communicated a threat in a voicemail left for a Federal Aviation Administration official on Nov. 15 of last year, and between July 24, 2018, and Nov. 15, 2019, made 24 calls that resulted in voicemail messages to the same FAA source with those calls made with the intent to harass, annoy or alarm but with no intent of legitimate communication.

The Huntingburg Police Department launched an investigation Nov. 21 of last year after being contacted by an FAA special agent, and on Tuesday, a warrant was issued out of Dubois Circuit Court charging Lichlyter with a Level 6 felony count of intimidation and a misdemeanor count of harassment.

Authorities booked Lichlyter into the security center at 11:54 a.m. Tuesday on the active warrant. He posted bond that afternoon.
