Warrant charges man with felony intimidation

JASPER — The Jasper Police Department took a man into custody this week on a warrant charging him with felony intimidation.
Dakota D. Sharp, 20, 2520 Kings Ridge Road, Birdseye, is accused in court documents of communicating a threat to commit residential entry and battery on law enforcement Oct. 17. The threats were allegedly made to a female complainant who contacted the Jasper Police Department, which investigated.
A warrant charging Sharp with a Level 6 felony count of intimidation was issued Oct. 25 in Dubois Circuit Court. Authorities booked Sharp into the Dubois County Security Center at 12:41 a.m. Tuesday on the active warrant.
Sharp appeared in court Tuesday and was released on his own recognizance on the condition that he participate in adult day reporting through the Dubois County Community Corrections Center. His next court appearance was set for Nov. 12.
