JASPER — Police booked a Jasper man into the Dubois County Security Center this week on a warrant charging him dealing in a narcotic drug.
Court documents indicate the case against Adan R. Aguilar, 40, 675 Giesler Road, was investigated by the Jasper Police Department.
Authorities allege that, on Dec. 18, 2018, Aguilar delivered between 1 and 5 grams of cocaine, a Schedule II controlled substance, packaged in four baggies.
The investigation, assisted by the Huntingburg Police Department, resulted in a warrant being issued March 6 in Dubois Superior Court charging Aguilar with a Level 4 felony count of dealing in a narcotic drug.
Authorities booked Aguilar into the county security center at 12:23 p.m. Monday on the active warrant. During an initial appearance later that day in Dubois Superior Court, a preliminary plea of not guilty was entered on Aguilar’s behalf by the court, his request for pauper counsel was granted and his next court appearance was set for April 17.
Aguilar remains lodged in the Dubois Count Security Center.
