HUNTINGBURG — A Huntingburg man was jailed Tuesday on a warrant charging him with felony methamphetamine dealing.
Authorities booked Matthew J. Scales, 35, 508 E. Seventh St., Huntingburg, into the Dubois County Security Center at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday on the active warrant.
The case against Scales was investigated beginning in December 2017 by the Huntingburg Police Department and Dubois County Sheriff’s Department after authorities received a report about drug dealing.
Court documents allege Scales delivered between 5 and 10 grams of methamphetamine twice during December 2017. Authorities also allege Scales was driving a vehicle during both incidents while his license was suspended, which was an infraction for which he had a prior, unrelated judgment against him.
The warrant charging Scales with two Level 3 felony counts of dealing methamphetamine and two misdemeanor counts of driving while suspended (prior) had been issued out of Dubois Superior Court in April of last year.
